Volvo Repair: headlight replacement, volvo 850 glt, volvo 850

Hi,

I purchased a 1993 Volvo 850 GLT sedan, and found it will not pass state inspection with a crack in the drivers side front headlight.  Is there a manual / direction for removing the entire assembly and replacing it?  I have heard rumors about needing to remove some of the front bumper, etc, but am not sure.

If you have any ideas, i would appreciate it.

Bill, you can replace just the glass but you have to take the assembly out to do it.  There are 4 bolts holding it in and you have to remove the  headlight wiper arm.  You will be able to pull the bumper cover out just a little for the assembly to come out.  10 minutes tops. Roger
