Volvo Repair: Ignition key does not turn, volvo dealer, first position

Hi,

My 2002 S60 did not start today.  Everything seems to be OK.  The steering wheel is not locked either, but I can not turn the ignition key any further than the first position.  When I insert the key and try to turn it, it turns only to the first position.  What do I have to do? Also, what is the cause of it?

you have most likely bad ignition lock  you will have tow the car to volvo dealer  it will take 3-4 days to order and get the part from sweden direct the pre coded lock  so you able to use same keys labor and parts will  be arund $400-700 dont force the key you damage maybe more
