Volvo Repair: Need Volvo service in Ft Myers Palm Beach Rd area, volvo service, bordner

I am relocating to area and have a 1003 Volvo 4 door. At a shop in Memphis---they told me that I needed a sensor replaced in the wheel area when the message lights came on for  - ABS, STC service, and others - This to the tune of around a $1000.00
IS THIS REASONABLE?

They checked brakes all OK, stated it had worn rubber in the strut area as it was making a clunking noise in the front wheels.

As I am moving to Ft Myers Sept 3 I have decided to tow it down and then get it fixed there.

I would like to get it into a shop on Sept 5 -7 so I could get it back while I am in town that week.
Can you do this?

I travel for my job and am in town weekends after that. I could leave it for the week I am out of town but this is last resort..

Jean, Actually it is a very expensive repair.  Call our shop number at 239-275-2020 and speak to my boss Dave.  He will set you up and we can check the car our for you and give you a detailed estimate.  We are in Ft Myers.  You can actually drive the car.  You will only not have ABS capability.  The car will have normal brake functions but I will leave that decision up to you.  Roger
