Volvo Repair: broken lock on rear hatch, rear hatch, bolts

1994 850 wagon.  The locking mechanism on the bottom of the rear hatch door has loosened up causing the door to rattle around when I drive.  I think it just needs tightening but I'm not sure how to access the screws/bolts.

David, you have to take the rear panel off.  The trick is getting that center trim off without breaking it.  I would suggest while you have the panel off, buy a repair kit to fix the panel.  The tabs break off.  Let me know if you want to tackle this or not.  Roger
