Volvo Repair: volvo, volvo safety, nice cars

hi:
i am looking for a USED volvo for my 16 year daughter as a first car.
a. what years should i stay away from?
b. average mileage i should be looking for and how many miles can a good volvo expect to attain.
c. what questions should i ask the owners?
any more suggestions would be great

best for you daughter will be s70, 1998  and up or s60 from 2001 and up very nice cars no problems  you have choises turbo and non turbo with less power .i recomend for her non turbo s 70 much slower and better fuel efficent than turbo with more power  but you make the choise .what you can ask is just maintanace record if he has it and if it was done on time   
you can get her any volvo any milege but most the time people dont take care of the cars .best is find the car that she likes from volvo she needs to like the car or she will not enjoy  the car  if you are close to chicago we have some nice used volvos when you find the car you can ask me more about car i cant tell you like this about every model in details it is to long one thing for sure %100 she will be safe in volvo no matter what accident it is better thany any other car line out there that is fact here is some link to volvo safety just copy and paste it
