Volvo Repair: 2000 Volvo S80, volvo s80, climate control

My mechanic replaced the timing belt.  All is ok, except he had to disconnect the battery.  Now the a/c and all controls on console below ac don't work.  We're told it must be reprogrammed.  Can this be done ourselves, or must the dealer do it?

timing belt and battery dosconected has nothing to do withn your ac controls not working   you have differnet problem  you have to take it to volvo delaer they can  reprogram or see what problem you have with climate control  did you replace also with timing belt the  timing belt tenssioner?
