Volvo Repair: A/C compressor cycling, volvo specialist, compressor cycles

I've got a 94 850. The A/C gets "kinda" cold...I checked the freon then noticed that the compressor cycles on and off every 5-10 seconds. Any ideas?

Al, its low on refrigerant.  The Evaporator core is probably leaking.  Common problem on the 850.  Be prepared to pay about 1000 dollars because its a labor intensive job.  The Dash Board has to come out, etc.  I suggest the Volvo Dealer or a Volvo Specialist shop.  Do not go to Joes Garage unless you want your car back in pieces.  Roger
