I have a 1988 VOLVO 240 wagon and the front wipers don not work at all.  I tried replacing the fuses and the motor- any suggestions?

Neil, With the mechanism disconnected see if the arms move freely.  Did you install a new motor or just another once from another car.  Hit is with a hammer with the car in the on position and the wiper stalk in the on and see if it moves.  If so, then the motor is toast.  Rogef
