Volvo Repair: future repairs concideration, volvo s60 awd, volvo s60

Hi James,    I m planning to buy volvo S60 AWD.  How soon can I expect to run into serious problems with this car?  Do you now,in a long run, what car is cheaper to maintain/repair volvo or subaru?

Well i don't know much about subaru but i can fill you in on what to expect on the S60.  If it is a 2001-02 you can expect to run into troubles downthe road.  Especially with A/C compressors, evap system leak pumps, catalytic converters at high mileages, misc interior pieces break commonly.  Also the brakes will wear much faster than most cars so be ready for that.  I would get one only if it was a 2003 or newer to avoid problems.  You shouldn't run into any real problems that will cost a whole lot until 100k or so as long as you do refular maintnence and oil changes on it.
