Volvo Repair: Volvo S70 is it worth 6k, turbo trouble, volvo dealer
QuestionAloha!
I'm looking to buy a 1999 S70 automatic, 89k miles for 6k. Body looks okay, with a few scratches and dings. Air works, but I hear the compessor clicking on and off kind of frequently so I don't know if thats a sign of leaking or because I had the door open and it was trying to keep the car cool. No funny sounds of turbo trouble.
Check engine light is on. What major things are necessary to service? Timing belt? Waterpump? hoses? belts?
Thank you
Answertiming belt is due at 105k ac clicking you are low on freon most the time to fix the ac leak is the evaporetor cost of repair is around $1300 6k is good price for the car if you can get lower price is better check engine light it can be anything to many sensor are there in engine you need to check it out best is before you buy take the car one day for test drive take it volvo dealer for preowned inspection and you will know what it needs good luck
