Volvo Repair: brake replacement, brake pad, rotors

I have a volvo 2004 xc90. What kind of brake pad replacements do you recommend? after market or volvo genuine parts?

Volvo genuine pads only.  Aftermarket pads may be cheaper and last a little longer but they will ALWAYS squeek and will be significantly less effective than factory.  Also factory rotors are designed to NEVER be resurfaced.  99% of the time if they are resurface they will warp within 1000 miles or less.  So leave the rotors alone and install factory pads. That is my recommendation.
