Volvo Repair: Window switch, window switch, 2 ways

I will clarify.  Can window switch be repaired, or must it be replaced?  Thanks

i still dont know what car you have  but i will take gues it maybe s70 or v70 that you have 1998-2000 yes the switch goes  bad .but only original volvo switch as replacement.2 ways to remove it right way pull the door panel out and push the switch out .and 2nd is if you know the switch is bad for sure you can pull on the switch on the sides use small screwdriver   and push it up you dont have to remove door panel on this .good luck  i hope this helps to you
