Can you manually reset the "Time for regular service" light?

turn the ignition key to position 1 then press and hold the tripometer reset button then turn the key to position 2.hold the button til the service light flashes 2 times or the trip changes from 1 to 2 or 2 to1 or the triangle flashes.then release the button and then turn the key to off position.
