Volvo Repair: Volvo -- stalling, spark plug wires, noticable difference
QuestionThe car is a '92 940 with a red block engine (B230F) and 175K on the clock. Lately, on cold starts it occasionally stumbles and stalls. Has to be restarted. Getting a little worse, and occasionally seeing this when it's warmed up, but not as much. Otherwise, driveability is fine, and mileage is good. Is it time to clean the injectors?
AnswerYes, I would recommend that. Check around for a shop that has a "motorvac carbon blaster". This is the only thing that cleans them well, and show a noticable difference. also recomend new spark plug wires if they're old...this can cause similar problem.
