Volvo Repair: electrical, electrical portion, seat heaters

The windows and seat heaters only work sporadically. Sometimes I turn the ignition on and off and its a fifty fofty chance the windows will work . when they do its good until i turn off the car . Then i have to keep turning the ignition on and off all over again. whats up with this?  760 tubo 1989

This sounds like a bad ignition switch. The contacts are worn internally in the electrical portion. When you start the car and the problem occurs, try wiggling the key a little toward the off position. If everything starts working,replace the electrical portion of ignition switch
