From time to time my car won't crank. I had the ignition switch replaced, the park-neutral switch replaced, and the starter replaced.
This problem only happens about once a month and has cleared by itself in all but one instance (flatbed and new started installed).
The last time it happened, I just kept trying to start it and after about 30 attempts it just worked.
The symtoms are just like trying to start it in drive.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

what year? 2000, sorry for delay but your mailbox was full.
Answerthis type car has an immobilizer system.which has a chip in the key that must be recognizedby the immobilizer control unit before it will start.there could be a problem with the key, antenna ring (this is around the ignition lock and reads the keys chip)or a bad control unit.most problems are key or antenna ring.when it does this I would try another key and see if that one works.
