BMW: Inspection Light, view id, busker

Question
I have a 1991 318i.  I recently purchased.  It seems to run great.  Wneh I bought it I noticed that there was 1 green light and then the inspection light lit up.  Today I canged the oil and filter and now only the inspection light is lit.  Do I need to do something to reset this or is it automatic and something else needs attention.

 here are the instructions for resetting the light.

 The system works by knowing how hard you drive the car, and how long it's been since it was reset.  At the dealership, they would change your oil, and then reset the light.  Most people change their own oil, so it's a little different
