Cadillac: Sedan DeVille 1991, manual override, big black

Question
Battery is dead and can't release parking brake.  Is there a manual override?  

Answer
just under the dash near the front of the drivers door is a little black handle that you can pull to release it. You will have to partially remove the big black plastic panel that covers up all the wires under the dash to get to the small black handle.
