Cadillac: 1994 Eldorado, cadillac eldorado, northstar engine

94 Cadillac Eldorado:
My car won't start, everything comes on (lights and all) but the engine doesn't even make a sound, I've checked and cleaned the battery terminal and still nothing, my guess  is the starter, and I've heard it's not the easiest thing to get to.   It's the northstar engine, any help is deeply appreciated.

Remmove the top aluminum cover on the engine and the starter is under this large cover.

Locate the "S" terminal on the starter and see if you have battery voltage as you try and crank the engine just enough to hear the starter engage.

Also check the main battery cable for battery voltage.
