Cadillac: codes on dash from transmission possible ?, diagnostic scanner, pressure switches

i have a 1997 caddillac deville i recently was told 2 codes were stored in my computer 1st code  1521 trans range 2nd code 1527 trans psi can you give me some insight is it the trans mission or a module that is triggering these codes ,some tech said is was my netural safety switch which cost about 66 dollars from caddy dealer an i really dont want to go on a fishing trip trying to guess at what it might be any help ? thanks

Your problem with the 1527 is either the:

netural safety switch on the transmission.
the pressure switches in the transmission.

Faulty wiring.

There is no code 1521.


Requires a diagnostic scanner to tell you EXACTLY which componet above is at fault.
