Cadillac: 1990 seville wont start, special test, cruise control

when i turn the key my 1990 seville will do nothing but on the display it says starting disabled auto theft system code cruise control i can straight wire te starter and it will turn over but it still wont start

Answer
You have a fault in your pass key system as the chip on the ignition key is not being read by the pass key module thus shutting down your starting system and your fuel system.

You need to have the system checked by the dealer as they have a special test box .
