Cadillac: transmission, torque converter, new brain

the code that comes up is----po39  and history is so60---- when going up an encline in OD  and when the transnission shifts down to 3rd  the engen light comes on  put new, brain in new cilinoids,brake switches had 3 different trans mission spel look at it and some said was input and out put sensers  causing that  and some said i need program to put in to car to cure---and if i cant fix it  will it hurt to drive   it
