Cadillac: 96 seville air conditioner, vacuum pump, orifice tube

Greetings, My 96 seville runs fine , but the ac  is shut off by computer, It says im low on refrigerant, I put a gauge on the low side and it read well into the red side of gauge.(as though I had too much)I released a small amout of pressure and gauge reads fine but ac wont come on unless I reset the computer, and then it(the ac) cuts off again. Im guessing its a blockage of some sort. Can u help direct me?

You need to completly empty the system of freon and replace the orifice tube and evacuate all the air out of the A/C system via a vacuum pump and then add the recommended amount of refrigerant into the A/C system and then tell me what your pressures are at.
