QuestionI already tried AAA. The locksmith they would send to me charges $285 to cut a new key!
I will try to jury rig a trunk release button in the cabin; I will see if I can mess with the relay to do that. (Or if the trunk has a inside emergency trunk release pull, I can try to extend that to the cabin.)

Cadilla-Seville-1996
This morning, after loading up my trunk, I accidently locked my only set of keys in the trunk (bought this Seville only last week, and haven't had a chance to order extra set of keys). The car doors were open, but I soon realized there is no trunk release button in the passenger cabin (my Seville did not come with this option).
Other than taking the registration to a dealer to cut new keys (which I should do anyway, I suppose), is there another way to open the trunk. This info would be useful in case I get stranded somewhere with no convenient access to a dealer.

If you have AAA, Give them a call and ask if they can open the trunk. Make SURE you tell them the YEAR-MAKE-MODEL of the vehicle BEFORE they come out. Next would be a locksmith.
AnswerLook in the glove box and remove the liner and look for a 2 wire plug that is most likely taped to thr electrical dash harneess in that area as this should be the connector for the button release for the trunk solenoid release. I believe the wires are bROWN and BLACK/WHITE.
