          Same problem as Venture with 40,000 miles on
my '02 Silverado. Put in a stronger oil pump and problem
was solved, even 'tho Chevy SWORE it was a normal issue.
          Don't believe them one bit !

hi- I too have a silverado and it has 84,000 on it, it has good oil p.s.i. at 60 lb. idle  I do not know what they are telling you I have never heard if it being a on going condition in the silverados. I wonder if it was only a bad tappet or rocker and they soaked you for a new oil pump job. this is why I tell every one to ask for all of the old parts back..
