Chevrolet: Car wont start, altanator, starter problem

Question
My 97 z24 worked fine yesterday until I parked it for about 20 mins.I went to get back in and the car wouldn't start , not even roll over!The car has power, but the stereo turns on and off, and there isn't even a clicking or anything to indicate a starter problem.I have no idea what this could be please help!! We also tried jump starting it in reverse.It would start but not stay running.

HI - I bet you have a dead - dead battery , I would try to charge it than see what the altanator is putting out , with a volt. meter..if under 13 volts than its no good , if it is above 13+  14 + than the battery is bad  ..   ok  <>>>>>>><>
the lights and radio-blower etc. can still work if the battery will not start the car...
