Chevrolet: fuel pump, chevy caprice, road side assistance

a little while ago i thought my car had stopped on me and road side assistance came to help and the just tapped on the fuel pump to get it started now its doing the same thing and it wont work where exactly is the fuel pump 95 chevy caprice

     Hi  well it is on the lower left side of the engine if a v-8 . it will have two lines going to it. when you are facing  the engine its on the lower left . at the 7:00 area. right in the front  left side / bottom.

I wonder if your fuel filter is bad.
ps - I would not go banging it too much  ok.
