Chevrolet: I have a chevy malibu 1999 that is strange., chevy malibu, altenator

Question
If I don't let the car warm up for 5 mins. the battery light goes on when I put my foot on the gas & the RPMs hit 3. The light goes off when I take my foot off the pedal & doesn't come back on until it sets for more than 7 hrs.& have to warm it up again.  Have a new battery % they say the altenator is fine. The "check engine light" comes on if it gets hot in the front seat.

It sounds as if there is  something wrong with the computor and as long as the car is running good I would not worry about it, but what do you mean about getting hot in the front seat  -   is it  over heating ? have you checked the coolent level .also when was the last oil change or service as that could do it. and it is a good thing to let the engine warm up when it is cold out.
