Chevrolet: Chevy engine ID, chevy engine, engine id

I am trying to find out what engine I have.

The ID stamped in the block is "ML12800"

Can you help?

       Well it looks as if you lucked out as the ML means you have a 67 - 68  327 and that was a good year and it came with a 4bbl carb. on it.Also it could be a 327-325 h.p. engine  it depends on the pistons and the heads .But it is a good block that you have. It is at least a 327-275 hp.  OK
