QuestionWith .100 DOMED pistons installed in my chevy truck, c-10, 350 c.i.d., year 1985, 76 c.c. volume stock head cams, in combination with edelbrock .442/.442 lift performer camshaft and stock head gaskets, would not the valves be hit?
Please check the pistons at:

I would like at least 9.5:1 C.R. in my engine.
Thank You in advance
Answer did you put them in / did you buy them .
if they have valve reliefs in them I dont think they should hit, you should put some H.D. valve springs on the heads.
if they are in you can put a lil bit of white chalk on the tops of the pistons and place the head on the block w/o bolts in it and turn it a bit by hand .and look to see if they hit the heads / valves... that cam is less than a 1/2 in" lift on it.
