2016 Chevrolet Cruze - am I using the wrong gas?

According to the 2016 Chevrolet Cruze owner's manual, the vehicle is designed to use regular unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87. However, if the vehicle is equipped with a turbocharged engine, it is recommended to use premium unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 91 or higher. Using the wrong type of gasoline can cause engine damage and affect vehicle performance.
