Dodge: 87 Dodge Dakota, dodge dakota, release cable

Hey Ramman,
It seems that my hood release cable broke in my 87' Dodge Dakota and I can't find any way to open it. I have spent many hours trying to fix this irriating problem. Please help me before this drives me insane.

Try to unhook the cable from inside the truck from the release lever,It's hard to say where it broke,Hold the cable and pull the wire with a pair of pliers and see if that will release the hood.Don't try to pry the hood open it will not release!
