Ford: Driveshaft, 2000 mazda b2500, molded rubber
QuestionI have what I call a "Maz-ford". A 2000 mazda b2500..4cyl. 5-speed. Since 99.9% was built by Ford, I offer this situation.
The problem is this: The driveshaft is a single piece shaft. On the front of the shaft which enters the trany.. there is a round drum which I think is a balance type arrangement. The problem is that it seperated from what looks like a molded rubber. So, it now floats around,
Where do I get a part like that? What would the cost be for it?
Thank you ....Ken
AnswerHi, yes it is a balancer. Ford had many of them in variuos places on the brakes/ drivetrain for many models.
The cheapest route to go is a driveshaft from a wrecker. They will know (through the Hollander exchange) exactly which vehicles are interchangeable. And it will cost less than $100.
