Ford: f150 subwoofer, rca plugs, factory stereo

I am trying to hook up subwoofers and amp into a 1997 f150 lariat. I have a 6 disc cd player and cannot figure out how to hook up the rca. Do i have to get the adapters or is their any kind of outputs from the head unit or cd player

hi there brian. if it is a factory stereo then you will not find any RCA plugs behind. So yeah you will need to get the adapter and wire it in for the rca plugs. probably your easiest spot to wire is at the stereo itself rather then probing wires in the drivers kick panel.
