Ford: 1993 Ford Van Electrical Problem, conversion van, ford van

My Econoline 150 conversion van has a strange problem. Two mechanics and myself have not figured it out. When you turn the lights on bright this happens: the dash lights go out, Rear ABS light starts flashing, Headlights go out, as well as rear lights and alternator needle starts jerking. I have replaced the headlight switch and multi-function switch on the steering column. Your suggestion?

Corey what you have is a bad ground ck battery cable  then ck batt. to ground and batt. to block  then in side were your kick panals are you will see on both sides ther are grounds make sure there tight and clean.let me know also ck  your batt. and alt out put you should be puting out with every thing off 14.10+
