Ford: 93 Taurus starting, coil pack, fuel pump
QuestionWhen the car is hot or a warm day the car will not start. If I turn it over and then wait for 5-10minutes then it starts. I tried the fuel pump but I could hear it when the key was on the on position. The last couple of days the car would stall and when I waited a few minutes it would start. Of course when I took it to a garage they could find nothing wrong because it would always start. The engine is a 3.8 V8.
Appreciate your help.

AnswerIts possible you could have a weak coil pack that controls spark, it could be getting hot, then cutting out the engine. I know we have replaced them on Ford Escorts. Then again you should also have your fuel pump pressure tested, this would also lead to the problem. I would find a good garage that has a good rep for repairs, have the vehicle serviced. Even if they dont get any trouble codes, they can test out the 2 ideas I told you about.. Ty,, and good luck..
