my van is sluggish/drags when excelerating from a complete stop.no power, feels like brakes are on.
But if I start in 2nd and shift to drive runs perfect.

sounds like your toque converter is locking up what you might try doing is when you are taking off is to toutch the brake peddle with little pressure and see if the problem go away if it does then you need to have the comp diag. and see if you have any codes .let me know
