GM-GMC: Manual transmision gear selector switch, advance auto parts, checker shucks kragen

I have a 1991 GMC C1500 Sierra P/U with the MG5 manual transmision. My back up lights don't work. The fuse is good, the bulbs are good, is there an ajustment to the gear selector switch or do I need to replace it. Where can I buy one on line.Thank you
