HI I HAVE A 1994 HYUNDI ELANTRA.EVERY TIME I TURN THE RADIO ON IT SAYS THAT I NEED A CODE.I HAVE BEEN TO SEVEARL HYUNDI CAR LOTS AND NO ONE CAN GIVE ME A ANSWER. CAN YOU HELP ME OUT.OR DO I JUST HAVE TO BUY A NEW RADIO                                                   P.S. I BOUGHT THE CAR LIKE THAT AND THEY SAID ALL I WOULD HAVE TO DO IS TO TAKE IT TO A DEALER.                      THANKS ALOT ANGIE

There use to be an online VIN decoder available.

Try visiting www.t-h-c.org and ask some of the people in the message forums.  One of them must remember what it was.  In fact, post a message in the "Help" forum.  There are several Hyundai Technicians who should be able to help you.

You shouldn't need to buy a new stereo.
