2013 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid - what to do after going into deep water?

1. Pull over to the side of the road in a safe location. Do not attempt to drive the vehicle if the engine has stalled or if water is leaking into the passenger compartment.

2. Turn off the engine and turn on the hazard lights. This will help other drivers see your vehicle and avoid a collision.

3. Get out of the vehicle and check for any injuries. If anyone is injured, call 911 immediately.

4. Call your insurance company. They will be able to send a tow truck to take your vehicle to a mechanic for repairs.

5. Take photos of the damage to your vehicle. This will help your insurance company assess the damage and determine how much your claim is worth.

6. Contact the Hyundai dealership. They may have some tips on how to dry out your vehicle and prevent further damage.

Here are some additional tips for driving through deep water:

* Do not attempt to drive through water that is deeper than 12 inches.

* Slow down and drive slowly through deep water. This will help to prevent water from entering the engine or exhaust system.

* If you do get stuck in deep water, do not try to drive out. Instead, call for a tow truck.
