Mercedes: Indicator Lights, break pads, indicator lights

Dear Robert,
I have two indicator lights that I have no clue as to what they mean.  One looks like a circle with what I think are break pads.  The other looks like a stopwatch.  The circle comes on when I am accelerating, but not all the time.  The other light is always on.  It only happened on Monday I should think.  Please respond soon.

I expect that your abs automatic brake system need to be checked. The timer may indicate that the service period is coming up. A look through the owners manual may tell you these indicators.
