Mercedes: gas level sending unit, shopforum, mercedesshop

i changed my gas level sending unit and for some reason the fuel gauge indicator goes up and down when im driving. when i changed the part it was continuing to not work also. i filled the car up with gas and the gauge was beginning to work for a brief amount of time but after a few minutes of driving the gauge would go up and down. what do you think seems to be the problem and how can i correct this issue with my gauges randomly going up and down even though i have a full tank of gas?

This sounds like a bad ground in the fuel level circuit.
