Mercedes: mercedes 1990 300 D, mercedes benz 300d, number search results

car didn't start this morning or yesterday am.had battery checked,OK.checked voltage regulator,looks OK.glow plugs have over 100thou miles.could the plugs be killing the battery?

More data needed:
#1. It did not crank?
#2. Cranked but did not start?

The most common issues are:
#A. Corroded battery ground to body, body to engine cable, that is three connections that MUST be removed, cleaned, and reinstalled.
#B. The glow plug harness insulation can crumble = shorting = drawing excess power.
#C. Glow plug relay may be bad = staying on = dead battery.
#D. Starter could be bad = drawing excess power.
#E. There may be a parasitic power draw = a light staying on.
