Mercedes: can you help, car age, mercedes benz

the car age is year 1999 mercedes benz E220 CDI classic   2.2 diesel

would 178,000 miles  be considered very high for an engine of this calibere

Very sorry.
The E220 CDI 2.2 diesel is to new.
All I have heard is rumor, which is not worth sharing.
I have enjoyed the :BIG GRIN: five test drives in MB CDI diesels.
If you can get all service records/history, it should be worth considering.
Please be aware; the repair cost on a CDI out of warranty is very high, and there are NO repair shops other than the MB dealer.
This vehicle is all electronic = DIY is not possible, other than oil change.
