Mercedes: 300D Mercedes 1984, 300d mercedes, tachometer

Hi My question is about The Tachometer. It does not work. Without total replacement is there a way to fix it.
  1. Where is the fuse for this located. Its not in the fuese box.
   2. Any other cause?
