2013 Nissan Frontier - when to change coolant belt, etc?

The 2013 Nissan Frontier doesn't have a coolant belt. The vehicle has a timing chain that drives the camshaft and a serpentine belt that drives the water pump, alternator, and air conditioning compressor.

The serpentine belt should be inspected every 60,000 miles or 5 years, whichever comes first. If the belt is cracked, frayed, or damaged in any way, it should be replaced.

The timing chain does not need to be replaced as part of regular maintenance. However, if the chain becomes damaged, it can cause serious engine damage. If you experience any unusual engine noises, it's important to have the vehicle inspected by a qualified mechanic.

Here are some other maintenance items that you should keep in mind for your 2013 Nissan Frontier:

- Oil changes: every 5,000 miles or 6 months, whichever comes first

- Tire rotations: every 7,500 miles

- Brake inspections: every 15,000 miles or 12 months, whichever comes first

- Cabin air filter replacement: every 15,000 miles or 12 months, whichever comes first

- Engine air filter replacement: every 30,000 miles or 24 months, whichever comes first

By following these maintenance guidelines, you can help keep your 2013 Nissan Frontier running smoothly and safely for many years to come.
