Oldsmobile/Buick: 99 Alero- Strong Exhaust Smell, olds alero, exhaust gases
QuestionWell, my baby- a 1999 Olds Alero (don't remember the model letters for it, but it's the middle of the road one and a 4cylinder)- is at the shop already, but as a household of students, I'm stressing about what the cause of the symptom (strong exhaust smell in the passenger cabin esp. when idle/not moving) is and how much it will cost me...
Any ideas on the culprit?
Thanks for your insight and knowledge!
AnswerAmber ,
Taking it to the shop was the right thing to do . Exhaust gases trapped in the cab of a car can ultimately if strong enough kill you .
Could be burning oil on manifolds making it way into the car or a leak in the exhaust .
The shop should be able to point it out .
Al the best,
