Oldsmobile/Buick: Problem with transmission. Olds Calais 89 Quad4 DOHC, transmission troubleshooting, quad4

Hi Ed.
I have a Olds Calais S (4 Doors, Gray-Silver) 89 Quad4 2.3L with Automatic Transmission, the problem with this car is that if i set the Drive,1 or 2 gear, the car don't run forward, only when I set the reverse Gear the car goes in reverse.

Can you help me to find the problem. i thougt that was the transmission Fluid level in first instance but the level and color of the fuid are fine. in Addition i always took the car for the transmission service every 35000 Km and when i set any gear the car don't smell bad, i has eared that when the transmission is burned or broken the car smell like burned oil.

The last transmission service was at 15-Oct-2004.

Does the car move forward at all ?

I would take the car down to another transmission shop and have them have a look . To be honest I don't know that much about transmission troubleshooting.
