Saab: 1997 saab 900, failure message, saab 900

Hi there I keep getting a break light failure message every time I start up
my vehicle.

 Although as stated in my profile, my hands on experience is limited to the earlier SAAB 900s, I can state in general terms that what is likely is that you have a burned out brake light bulb. There is likely a "bulb monitor circuit" that senses when a bulb is out and so indicates. Of course, its also possible that this monitoring circuit itself is defective, but the burned out bulb is most likely.
