Saab: battery leads, saab 9000 cd, trickle charger

In a 1992 Saab 9000 CD,which lead is the ground?The red or the blue. I will connect a trickle charger, when i leave the car for 4-6 months

  As noted in my profile, my specific experience ias limited to the pre 1993 SAAB non-turboes. However, the color code for SAABS is typically RED = +12 V,  BLUE or BLACK = GROUND (at  the battery).
Connecting a trickle charger is a good idea; it ought to be a "smart" (electronically controlled) one for best results. Check the device description to make sure.
